Membership Terms and Conditions
Davyhulme Park Golf Club Ltd
Except where expressly agreed otherwise by us in writing every member of the club shall be subject to these terms and conditions. Davyhulme Park Golf Club Limited reserves the right to use discretion in all matters relating to membership.
In addition to these terms and conditions, members are subject to the rules set out in the Club’s Articles of Association. These cover such matters as how and when to call general meetings, voting rights, the election and powers of the directors as well as disciplinary procedures. If there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and the Articles of Association then the latter takes precedence.
Members must also abide by the Bye-Laws of the Club. These cover such matters as how the Club is run, the responsibilities of members regarding dress code, use of car park, handicaps, competition rules and etiquette on the course. If there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and the Bye-Laws then the latter takes precedence.
1. The Club has differing categories of membership that take account of the restricted
availability of tee times on the course and the age of members. Members must abide by the day and time restrictions imposed by their type of membership. The various categories are designed to provide suitable playing options for your lifestyle and current situation as well as making best use of the course.
2. Not all membership categories may be available at all times and the Club may decide to stop providing certain categories. The Club will inform members of any such restrictions when they join or when a category changes or ceases to be available.
3. All new members are required to complete an application form that contains personal information. Whoever signs the membership application form will be jointly and individually responsible under this agreement. This means that each of those persons will be responsible for paying all the appropriate membership subscriptions and any other charges that they may incur for any other person for whom they have signed the membership form, for example, a spouse or child.
4. Persons who wish to join as playing members do so for a period of 12 months. Your
membership will continue indefinitely until you give at least one month’s notice in writing before the renewal date of membership unless:
● Either you switch your category of membership, or
● Your membership is either suspended or terminated.
As part of the club’s affiliation to England Golf your invoice will show your subscription as membership of the Lancashire Union of Golf Clubs which includes personal liability insurance.
5. The membership year begins on April 1st and subscriptions are paid annually in advance unless agreed to pay by instalments. A member joins each year for a minimum period of one year unless they join partway through a year in which case the member is responsible for their subscription up to the end of the standard yearly period. A member should write or email (info@dayhulmeparkgolfclub.co.uk) to inform us that they no longer wish to continue their membership. A member is responsible for their fees up to March 31st each year.
6. Any new member joining on a specific offer will be legally bound to pay all subscriptions and fees for the term of the offer and in agreement with the offer.
7. Members wishing to pay by instalments must do so by direct debit. Bank information must be supplied at the time of commencement of membership. Paying by instalments you are agreeing to a membership up to March 31st. A member should write or email to inform us if they do not wish to renew their membership by the end of February otherwise we will automatically continue with the direct debit payment for the following year.
8. Members joining mid-year will pay pro-rata to the nearest month.
